This release lets admins invite large groups of users to the platform at once using a CSV file upload.

1. Bulk inviting users by CSV

Admins currently invite users one at a time or in small batches from People > Users, with no reliable way to track who was successfully added. Admins can now invite large groups of users at once by uploading a CSV file.

From People > Users, admins select "Invite," then choose "Upload file" from the dropdown. The existing option to invite by pasting email addresses is still available alongside it.

Admins download the file template and fill in the required columns: Email, First name, Last name, and Realm. Admins then upload the file. Files can hold up to 5,000 rows.

If the file is the wrong format, doesn't match the template, or exceeds the row limit, the upload is blocked and a message explains why. Once a file passes these checks, each row is validated and sorted into up to three groups:

Will be invited — no account exists yet for this email

Already invited — an account already exists, active or pending

Errors — rows with an invalid email, a duplicate, or a missing required field, shown with a reason

Only groups with rows in them appear on the review screen. If there are no errors, the option to download error rows is hidden. If every row already has an account, the review screen shows "Close" instead of an invite action.

A Send welcome email toggle applies to the whole batch and is on by default.

Once admins confirm the upload, valid rows are invited in the background. Admins can close the tab or navigate away without stopping the import. While admins stay on the page, a dismissible message confirms whether the bulk invite started, or shows an error if it didn't. When the job finishes, admins receive an email with a results file listing each email and its status: invited or failed.
