This article explains how to add, edit, and remove a reflection page in a course. Reflection pages invite learners to pause and articulate their insights, promoting deeper understanding and knowledge sharing.
When a reflection page is added, learners must submit a reflection to complete the page. Reflections become visible to others only after a learner has posted their own response.
Adding a Reflection Page
- Click the plus (+) button to add a new page
- Select Reflection from the dropdown menu
- In the editor, type “/” and press Enter, or select a block option from the menu
- Customize the block to create your reflection prompt
Everything added in this editor becomes the reflection question learners will respond to.
Editing the Reflection Prompt
Open the reflection page you want to update
Edit the text directly in the editor
Click Save when finished
If you change the reflection prompt, learners will see the updated question. They do not need to submit a new reflection.
Removing a Reflection Page
Click the three dots button in the left navigation
Select Remove
If a reflection page that already contains learner responses is deleted, those responses are permanently lost.
